This second installation at the Black in Design 2023 Conference, “The Black Home,” imagines home as a temporal space that is always felt, even when it is not seen. Everyday artifacts found in homes across the Black diaspora adorn this 1:1 drawing of a parlor to evoke memories from the past, carried on into the present and future.
